PRIVACY POLICY

Fremantle Hypnosis Clinic is dedicated to providing high quality services to you. The following privacy policy outlines our ongoing commitment to you and how we handle your Personal Information. We have decided to adopt the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) outlined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). These principles govern our actions in collecting, utilizing, disclosing, storing, safeguarding, and disposing of your Personal Information. Confidentiality

Privacy is a matter we take very seriously. We commit to keep your personal information confidential and will not disclose any information about you to anyone without your consent, except in extraordinary circumstances. We are authorized to disclose information subject to professional board of ethics and responsibilities, including in the following cases:

  • If there is a perceived risk to your own safety or another person’s safety, including our own

  • If there is a legal and board obligation to do so

Should such a very exceptional circumstance arise, we will try utmost to communicate with you beforehand. We will always operate in the clinically best interests of your care and safety.

If you are a client of ours and have any concerns or inquiries about confidentiality, please feel free to speak with your current therapist on our team.

Personal Information Security

We store your Personal Information in such a manner that safeguards it against abuse, misuse, unauthorized access, and disclosure. We will take rational precautions to permanently delete or de-identify your Personal Information if it is no longer required for your therapy purposes. But the majority of Personal Information is largely stored in our client files, which will be kept by us for seven years. Our files are private and confidential.

Third Parties

If practical to do so, we will receive your Personal Information specifically from you. However, in particular circumstances, third parties may impart us with information (such as your referring doctor or psychiatrist). In such cases, we will take necessary steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Fees

The fees that we charge are determined in accordance with each individual practitioner’s discretion. Kindly contact your practitioner directly on our team to clarify the cost of therapy services.

Payment Options

Each individual practitioner directs their own preferred payment options. Please discuss your payment options with the practitioner you are seeing.

Cancellations

A cancellation fee is imposed for cancellations made 24 hours or less before a planned session. Please discuss this with your individual practitioner if necessary.

SOCIAL MEDIa & Contact, & Professional therapy POLICY

We do not accept friend requests from clients, and we adhere to the strict professional boundaries stated by our board of ethics and professional standards. This is to ensure a good boundary for your therapeutic care, and for your privacy and our own.

Ethical Standards

Adhering to clinical, professional and ethical standards within our therapy practice is of utmost importance to us. We are committed to continual training and professional growth, regular supervision, and our own personal therapy and self-reflection. We operate under the auspices of the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Mental Health Social Workers Association, the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia Code of Ethics.

SUPERVISION

Whilst we having been practicing for over 35 years, and we provide supervision services to other professionals within the community, we continue to value our own supervision sessions. Supervision sessions are a requirement of professional bodies. We do not disclose your personal identifying details, this remains confidential. We seek to extend our knowledge, and skills to ensure we provided the most optimum service for your concerns and your objectives.

Specifically, you must not use or replicate our copyright material in any manner for personal or commercial purposes unless expressly agreed to in which case, we will require you to sign a License Agreement.
